SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

READING - September 19th: The Reading Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division, is releasing the following information relating to a Shooting Investigation that occurred in the 300 block of S 7th Street.

The shooting resulted in Heather Kerns, 12-23-78, suffering a minor graze wound to her lower right calf while sleeping in the first-floor front room of her home.

The victim was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

We have received reports that an unknown subject fired into 2 homes in the block at approximately 0200 hours (2:00 AM) on Sept. 17th.
