Relative to an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by the Reading Police Department Vice Unit, members of the RPD, Berks Count y District Attorney Drug Task Force and Penns ylvania State Police served two Search Warrants on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
The Search Warrants were served at an apartment at 36 N 6th Avenue in West Reading and 1813 Scindo Court, in Muhlenberg Township.
As a result of the search warrants the following items were seized from the two locations:
1. Smith & Wesson Shield, .45 Caliber (Stolen from Lancaster County)
2. Approximatel y 4 pounds of Methamphetamine
3. 20 Grams of Cocaine
4. 160 Grams of Fentanyl
5. 3 pounds of Marijuana
6. US Currency
Relative to the investigation Viccasey Garcia (age 35), of 36 N 6 t h Avenue, West Reading, was charged with Firearm and Drug Related Offenses.
The enforcement activities conducted yesterday relative to this investigation are a testament to the continuous collaborative efforts of the Reading Police Department, the Berks Count y District Attorney’s Office and the Penns ylvania State Police. The Reading Police Department and our partner law enforcement agencies will continue working together to keep our neighborhoods safe and the drugs that are harming our residents off the streets.
