READING POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASES INFORMATION ON THIS WEEKEND’S INCIDENTS

 

READING – August 22, 2022: The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is releasing the following information relating to a Shooting Investigation that occurred in the 300 block of McKnight Street on Aug. 21st at approximately 6:00 pm. This incident resulted in the death of Josmar Ceballos, a 28-year-old male. Additionally, a 49-year-old male was also injured in this incident.

The Reading Police Department was called to the 300 block of McKnight Street for a male who was reportedly shot. When Police arrived on-scene, they located Mr. Ceballos deceased in the block. The other male was transported to Tower Health, Reading Hospital prior to Police arrival, where he was treated. Both males were struck by gunfire.

We have received reports that two males were seen walking in the area with masks on leading up to the shooting. The victim of the Park Avenue domestic-related shooting has been identified as Marianne Lachina-McAndrew, age 55. The suspect has been identified as Luiggy Salazar, age 40. Both the victim and suspect are still hospitalized in critical condition.
