READING PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO HOST RESIDENTIAL CLEAN-OUT EVENT
READING – June 3rd: Reading’s Public Works Department is releasing the following information regarding its upcoming Residential Cleanout Day event.
On Saturday, June 25th, the Public Works Department will host various activities throughout the city as part of Residential Cleanout Day.
Ten locations throughout the city will have a dumpster available from 8 am to 1 pm for any trash, except for tires, used oil, household chemicals, paint, televisions, and/or appliances. (collection of electronics must be scheduled through the City’s Citizen Service Center at 1-877-727-3234 or the Reading iRequest app-available for Apple and Android devices)
In addition, City staff, volunteers, and community leaders will join together for a neighborhood clean-up. Everyone will meet at Baer Park at 8 am for supplies distribution.
The dumpsters will be available at the following locations:
1). Baer Park – Tulpehocken & West Douglass St.
2). Hampden Blvd. & Perry St. (on Perry)
3). Pendora Park- S. 18th & Forrest St.
4). S. 6th and Laurel St. on S 6th St.
5). Barbey’s Playground, 200 Schuylkill Ave
6). McKnight & West Oley St.
7). S 3rd & Spruce Sts.
8). N 9th & Windsor Sts.
9). N 11th & Pike Sts.
10) Centre Park, 705-706 N 5th St. (Artifacts Bank Lot)
