SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
800 block of Ritter Street on November 30th

READING: The Reading Police Department Criminal Invest igations Division is releasing the fol lowing information relating to the Shooting Investigation that occurred in the 800 block of Ritter St reet on November 30th.

Officers responded to the 800 Block of Ritter Street for the report of a shooting at approximately 17:30 hours (05:30 pm). Officers located a male victim with gunshot wounds to the chest area identified as Oliver Espiritu, 28 years old. Espiritu was transported to Reading Hospital for treatment for injuries.

During the course of the investigation, i t was determined that an unidentified male suspect approached Espiritu, who was seated inside a vehicle, and fired multiple shots at Espiritu. The suspect then fled the area on foot .
