READING POLICE DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES ARREST LINKED TO LAST WEEKEND SHOOTINGS

READING – November 11th: The Reading Pol ice Department Criminal Investigations Division is releasing the following informat ion relating to the Homicide Invest igation that occur red in the 500 block of Cherry Street on Sunday, November 7th at 00:17 hours (12:17 a.m. ) that resulted in the death of Mr. José Rodríguez-Bultron and the wounding of another adult male victim. The investigation led by Criminal Investigator Bradley Silcox resulted in an arrest warrant for Alber to Rivera-Vázquez, 28 years old of Reading for 1s t & 3rd Degree Murder as wel l as related Murder Charges.

Alberto Rivera-Vázquez was taken into custody on November 10th in Puerto Rico with the Puerto Rican Authorities ’ assistance and is cur rently being held in Puerto Rico pending extradition back to Pennsylvania .
