City of Reading Congratulates Reading Fightin Phils on Eastern League Championship

Reading, PA: The City of Reading congratulates the Reading Fightin Phils on winning the Eastern League Championship.

The Fightin Phils completed their postseason run with the championship, bringing the title home to Reading for the first time since 1995 and giving local fans another reason to celebrate.

In recognition of the team's championship, City Hall will be lit red for the next week.

"Congratulations to the Reading Fightin Phils on winning the Eastern League Championship," said Mayor Eddie Morán. "It's a great accomplishment for the team and a great moment for our city. We're already talking about how we can celebrate this with the community. It's still early, but we're looking at some ideas and will share more once we have something in place. For now, we're lighting up City Hall red and celebrating our champions."

The City will share more information about a potential community celebration as plans come together.
