City of Reading Shares Event Information for Official Pennsylvania World Cup Fan Zone Weekend in Downtown Reading

Reading, PA: The City of Reading, in collaboration with Experience Reading & Berks County and Philadelphia Soccer 2026, will welcome residents and visitors to downtown Reading this weekend for the official Pennsylvania World Cup Fan Zone presented by Visit PA, bringing international soccer excitement to Reading, Pennsylvania.

The weekend festivities will officially begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Reading Arena (Santander Arena). The ceremony will feature participation from Mayor Eddie Morán, Meg Kane, Host City Executive of Philadelphia Soccer 2026, Heather Zimmerman, CEO of Experience Reading & Berks County, and other invited dignitaries and partners.

Following the ribbon cutting, the Fan Zone will open to the public for a series of free, family-friendly events featuring live Telemundo broadcasts of FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches on giant 40-foot screens inside Reading Arena, as well as an outdoor block party spanning the 500, 600, and 700 blocks of Penn Street. With an Extreme Heat Advisory in effect, attendees are encouraged to take advantage of the fully air-conditioned Reading Arena while enjoying live match coverage and programming.
