City of Reading to Commemorate Independence Day and America250;Announces Holiday Operations

 Reading, PA: The City of Reading announces the following schedule changes in observance of Independence Day.

City Hall Closure• City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026.
• Normal business hours will resume on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Street Sweeping
• There will be no street sweeping on Friday, July 3.

Trash & Recycling
• There are no changes to the City's trash and recycling collection schedule.

Red, White & Blue Illumination
In observance of Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary, Mayor Eddie Morán has
directed that City Hall and the Pagoda be illuminated in red, white, and blue on the evenings of
Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
