City of Reading Announces 2026 Yard Waste Collection Schedule

Reading, PA: The City of Reading’s Yard Waste Collection program will begin on Monday, March 30, 2026, and continue through the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Residents are encouraged to schedule their yard waste collection in advance to ensure timely pickup.

To schedule a collection, residents can:

•Call the Streets Division at 610-655-6285

•Contact the City Service Center at 1-877-727-3234

•Use the Reading 311 app, available for free on mobile devices

Collection Schedule by Area:

•Monday – Northeast Reading, Hampden Heights

•Tuesday – South of Penn Street, East Reading, Hessian Camp, 18th Ward

•Wednesday – Northwest Reading, Northmont, Riverdale, Glenside

Residents are reminded to properly bundle or bag yard waste and place it at the curb for collection. The City of Reading thanks residents for their cooperation in keeping our neighborhoods clean and green.
