Reading Police Department Seeks Assistance in Locating Suspect Following Incident on Windsor St.

The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is releasing the following information relating to a kidnapping incident that occurred on 11/16/2023. 

On 11/16/2023 at approximately 03:30 am officers responded to the 400 block of Windsor St for the report of a burglary. The caller told officers that someone had broken into their home and kidnapped their 26-year-old daughter. The daughter got away from her kidnapper who was identified as Yusuf Scott, black male, 27-year-old and was safely located by RPD officers. An arrest warrant was obtained for Scott for kidnapping, burglary, and related crimes. 

Members of the Reading Police Department and BCERT attempted to execute search warrants at multiple locations within the City of Reading in an attempt to take Scott into custody. At this time Scott has not been taken into custody and his whereabouts are unknown. Scott is considered armed and dangerous and is described as a black male with longer dreadlocks, 6’3”, approximately 175 pounds last seen wearing black pants, black shoes, a black jacket and a mask. Scott did display a gun during the incident.
