If a property is located within one of the locally regulated historic districts listed below, all proposed exterior changes visible from a public right-of-way, including alterations, demolition, new construction, and additions, require review by the HARB, or for certain in-kind replacements, by the City of Reading Preservation Officer, in order to obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness prior to completing the work. If a property is located within a conservation district listed below, only exterior demolition, new construction, and additions visible from a public right-of-way require review by the HARB.
