Councilor Chris Daubert was appointed to represent the people of District 1 after the previous councilperson resigned. 

Chris previously represented District 1 from 2014-2017.  Chris’ primary background is in the field of education. He graduated from Dickinson College with a degree in History and earned his teaching credentials through Alvernia University.  He has been teaching Social Studies in public education since 2004.  

Aside from teaching, Chris is active in many community organizations.  He founded the 18th Ward TNR program for feral cats which provides funding for 18th Ward residents to get cats spayed or neutered so they do not continually reproduce.  He served on the Board of Directors for the Berks County Public Libraries.  He also volunteers with Rotary International’s youth development programs to help create the leaders of tomorrow.
