MINUTES FROM A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE READING

REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF READI NG

HELD ON 12th DECEMBER 2017

 

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Reading held a Special Meeting at 815 Washington Street, Room 2-53 in the City of Reading, County of Berks, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, on 12th day of December, 2017.

 

The meeting was called to order at 11:07 a.m. by Mr. Heinly, Chairman and on roll call, the following were present:

 

Mr. Chris Heinly,           Chairman

Mr. Dan Luckey,           Vice-Chairman

Mr. Melvyn Jacobson,   Member

Mr. Juan Zabala,            Member

 

Also present were:

Mr. Adam Mukerji, Executive Director

Mr. Dennis Witwer, Executive Assistant

Mr. Keith Money, Barley, Snyder

 

Upon roll call, Mr. Witwer declared a quorum.

 

At this time, the board entered into executive session to discuss the sale of property. Afterwards, the board re-entered into a regular session.

 

Bookbindery Apartments:

 

Mr. Jacobson made a motion to accept the Letter of Intent from J&A Court, LLC. to purchase the Bookbindery Apartments , 148-150 N. 4th Street, Reading PA. for the amount of $350,000.00. and authorizing Mr. Mukerji to execute any and all documents pertaining to the sale of said property.

 

615-R Kenhorst Blvd.

 

Mr. Mukerji had updated the board on the sales negotiation of 615-R Kenhorst Blvd., noting that he had executed an Agreement of Sale with VNR Properties, LLC., based out of Trexlertown, for the amount of $400,000., as stipulated at the November 2017 board meeting. He stated that the developers are continuing their due diligence and he plans to go to closing at the beginning of the new year.

 

There being no further business to be brought before the board, Mr. Zabala made a motion to adjourn the meeting; all members were in favor.
