ADDENDUM NO. 1 Project: Pendora Park Improvements

This addendum is issued for the purpose of clarifying the intent of the contract documents, for making necessary corrections, deletions, and additions to the documents.

 

Questions and Answers:

Q1. When does the project need completed by?

A1. 180 days.

 

Q2. Question: According to the Instructions to Bidders no work can be subcontracted unless approved by The City. Is this correct?

A2. Yes.

 

Q3. The description of scope of work indicates the owner will supply the equipment. The specifications do not reflect that.

A3. The contractor is responsible for purchasing, delivering and installing all equipment. There will be no owner supplied equipment.

 

Q4. Can you tell me if the City has already purchased the play equipment or if you’d be interested in seeing other competitive options?

A4. The contractor is responsible for purchasing, delivering and installing all equipment. There will be no owner supplied equipment.

 

Q5. Question: Please confirm that the city is purchasing the modular play and swing structures, benches and safety surface mulch and the balance such as trash receptacles, bike racks, and anchors for the benches, and park sign are to be provided by the contractor.

A5. City is not purchasing the modular structures, benches, safety surface, or trash receptacles. Contractor is to purchase, ALL equipment for the project. There will be no City supplied equipment or materials for the project.

 

Q6. Is there an estimated value associated with this project?

A6. The budget for this project is approximately $460,000.

 

Q7. Drawing C-200 indicates two alternates. Bid form does not have any alternates listed. Please advise.

A7. ADD-ALTERNATE 1 – As outlined on drawing number C200 SITE PLAN, which includes the play equipment, safety surfacing, segmental block walls and porous asphalt paving. Base bid is to grade the area as per C300 GRADING PLAN, provide topsoil and seed.

ADD-ALTERNATE 2 – As outlined on drawing number C200 SITE PLAN and C203 SPRAYGROUND LAYOUT, which includes the spray equipment and all associated plumbing work, concrete paving and bench. Base bid is to grade the area as per C300 GRADING PLAN, provide topsoil and seed.
