Re: 2017 Stadium Commission Activities

From: Annarose Ingarra-Milch, Chairperson, 2018

Date: February 7, 2018

It is with pleasure that I submit the following update regarding the activities of the Stadium Commission for the year 2017.

Please note that in July, 2017 Mr. Robert Heebner resigned unexpectedly as Chairperson. Mr. Rick Denunzio was then elected Chairperson. In January 2018, I assumed the position of Chairperson.

During the final quarter of 2017, the commission was fortunate to on-board Mr. James Schlegel who brings with him solid experience working on boards. At this time we have five members seated out of a possible nine member commission. Frank Gromis resigned and Troy Sticker, moved out of the city making him ineligible t o be a member of the commission.

Liaisons Councilman Stat Marmarou and Director of PW Ralph Johnson have been extremely helpful with their working knowledge and willingness to assist the commissioners and the baseball franchise. Collectively, commissioners and liaisons, represented the city at opening day, 2017 and games throughout the season.

Over the course of 2017 the Stadium Commission has met six times, in accordance with procedures. We have meet with General Manager, Scott Hunsicker regarding capital improvements projects and recommended that the 2017 allocation of capital improvement funds in the amount of $5,000 be released for improvements to the left field bathrooms.

The Stadium Capital account at Citizen’s Bank is no longer in use and reportedly all bank fees have been satisfied.

2018 is looking to be an activity-filled year for the Commission. With stabilized leadership we have begun the process of stadium oversight. We have several projects on tap and will report out again in 2018. Our goal is to continue our active involvement with the franchise and to bring on-going value to both the City and the Stadium.
