Pre-registration is required by either contacting the City Clerk’s Office in advance or registering on the sheet on the podium.

Note: The Reading City Charter Study Commission was elected November 5, 1991 by a 6,747 to 3,526 vote. The empaneled 1991 Commission was given a Budget of $10,000. A total of $4,386.87 was used for advertising and other expenses (milage, supplies, meeting space, etc)

This is the time set aside for public comment on the government study commission. Individuals who have pre-   registered to speak shall have no more than 5 minutes When a speaker’s time is up, a timer will go off from the City Clerk at which time a speaker shall end their comment or their microphone will be turned off and the next speaker will be given the floor. There is no guarantee or requirement for a question presented during public comment to be answered or responded to. Please observe all Public Comment Rules of City Council when given the privilege of the floor. A copy of the Rules can be found on the City website at Section 5-209.D. Please be aware that comments and/or behavior in violation of these rules will result in a forfeiture of the ability to continue with your public comments.
