“Building a Better Reading Together”
Residents, businesses, and government all play a role in keeping Reading PA. clean, safe and healthy. Only by involving all residents and each community can we create a beautiful Reading. Success begins with one neighbor and one community deciding to make a difference. Anyone can participate in the Adopt-a-Block program, individuals, families, churches, businesses, schools, other groups and organizations are all welcome
Adopting a Block in the City of Reading has many benefits:
- Improved quality of life in your neighborhood. The appearance of your community contributes to the quality of life we all share.
- Meet your neighbors, strengthen your community connections and build leadership skills, while becoming an example and role model for youth.
- More active, cleaner communities help maintain housing values, encourage business and investment and discourage illegal activity to help create a positive perception of the impacted neighborhood, street by street, block by block
