The requirements listed for the Reading Police Academy are not the same as those for becoming a police officer for the Reading Police Department. Successful completion of the Academy does not ensure employment with the Reading Police or any other Department. Questions regarding employment should be directed to the Civil Service Board or Personnel Office of the Municipality in which you wish to be hired.
