Mayor Tom McMahon Announces New Hire In Mayor’s Office


August 10, 2007: Mayor Tom McMahon, Mayor of the City of Reading, Pennsylvania announced today that Ms. Cindy Heminitz will be accepting the position of Chief of Staff to the Mayor in his office, effective August 20, 2007.

Ms. Heminitz’s professional experience includes multiple years working in the hospitality, sales and marketing fields, with her most recent position at the Sheraton Reading Hotel in Reading as the Director of Catering Sales. She has been a resident of Reading since 1996, when she and her husband George purchased and restored their in-home business, Bed and Breakfast on the Park, on Hill Rd in Reading.

She also has extensive volunteer experience in the City of Reading with The Penn’s Common Neighborhood Group and the Historic District, the Council of Neighborhoods, Berks Urban Greening, Centre Park Historic District, Berks County Conservancy, Berks County Historical Society and the Reading Berks Visitors Bureau.
