Goals 2007 for the Department of
Finance
• Create a forum and working group with MBE/WBE and
contractors to foster partnerships and encourage inclusion
in bids.
• Continue the consolidation from multiple to bulk
purchases in order to take advantage of improved pricing.
• Implement suggestions from vendor on guaranteed
energy savings to make capital improvements throughout the
city without any additional cost to the citizens of Reading.
• Quarterly Project Reconciliation of all Agency
& Community Development funds which will then be reviewed
with appropriate project managers.
• Monthly budgetary reports for all funds to be completed
within 10 working days of month’s end, to be distributed
and reviewed with Administration and Council.
• Adoption of a formal TIF policy for the city.
